Proven Adsense Tips, Tools and Tactics to Make Money Online

by. Peter Phillips

It already seems a long while ago that Google Adsense was the flavor of the month throughout the world of internet marketing. There were tales of great wealth to be made just by putting up lots of sites and filling them with Adsense. It was at one time considered one of the easiest ways of making money online.

However, many have found that despite putting up hundreds of sites, their Adsense income is only reaching a few dollars a day, if that. So what happened?

You have to remember that Adsense is primarily for the benefit of the advertisers, not the webmasters who put the ads on their sites. Therefore, Google will always place the advertiser first when looking at sites on which Adsense is displayed. Google now comes down hard on sites that are put up solely to get income for the site owner, with no real content apart from the ads. With some webmasters trying sneaky methods to make the maximum amount of money from their Adsense, and making Adsense the focus of their site rather than the content, it is not surprising that Google is continually looking to improve their image.

For this reason, Google has changed the rules since those early days, and many webmasters saw their Adsense earnings decimated. Also site visitors are a lot more knowledgeable these days, and they are a lot less inclined to click on ads than they once were.

All these things have conspired to drive the earnings from Adsense downwards. So, is there any money still to be made from Adsense?

The key to making money online with Adsense is the placing of ads for high paying keywords on pages that are
receiving high traffic. The more expensive the cost-per-click to the advertiser, the more money you will receive. Therefore do not target low cost-per-click keywords or place your ads on pages which do not receive a high traffic count.

There are three major ways that site owners are now using to make money online from using Adsense.

1. Getting a high traffic count. Check on your logs to see if your promotional activities are resulting in more visits to your site. More traffic generally means more clicks, and therefore more money for you.

2. Seamlessly integrating the ads into the general content of the page. An example is to make the Adsense block of ads look like it is part of the sitemap menu, using the same colors and similar format.

3. Making sure that the Adsense ads are relevant to the page content by making your header tag relevant to the content.

When done well, these three factors should produce the maximum amount of revenue from a page. This strategy works well on sites that focus on good relevant content for their visitors.

One other particularly good money-making feature of the new Adsense is the ability to put filters on up to 200 urls. This means that webmasters can block out low value keywords from their pages. And take only those ads that pay well while discarding the rest.

So, there is still reasonable money to be made in Adsense, but not perhaps the six figure incomes that some marketers were claiming in the early days, but webmasters must ensure that they comply with all the ever changing guidelines that Google is producing for Adsense, or they run the risk of having their Adsense account suspended.

Four Ways to Make Money With AdSense to Make the Extra Cash

by. Alan Lim

You can make money with AdSense but with these four techniques you’ll be able to boost your revenue by leaps and bounds and arn the extra cash.

If you have or are thinking about signing up for Google AdSense, you already know the potential financial benefits of such a move. However, you may not know there are a lot of great ways to make money with AdSense. Below are four of the best ways you might want to consider to increase your cash earnings.

Create a Newsletter

If you are hosting the AdSense advertising on your own site, the goal is to increase the traffic to those pages. One of the best ways to do this is to create a newsletter that can easily be distributed to a large group of individuals who would have an interest in the keyword phrase associated with your content. The newsletter could include free articles reprinted from directory sites or you could write original content depending on your preference. You could have people subscribe to your newsletter or you could send it out through sites such as Yahoo Groups or similar networks. Remember to include plenty of links back to your web site so you can make money with AdSense in this way.

Use Email Signature

One of the easiest ways to make money with AdSense is by adding an email signature to all of your accounts. The
signature should include the URL back to your AdSense web site. Now the big question is what other type of content to
include along with that URL. Some people would recommend using some types of sales-related message or a brief bio. The reality is most people aren’t going to be persuaded by these obvious marketing techniques. Try to be a bit more subtle – consider using a quote (from someone famous or one of your own) instead. A humorous statement can sometimes work as well if it’s in good taste and related to the content of your site.

Send Teaser Emails

If you have a large number of email addresses that you’ve accumulated from other sites and projects or if you just want to take some of the emails from all of those forwards and unsolicited emails you’ve received over the years then you might want to put these to good use. Write a short email saying that you think the recipient would be interested in your site. Include the URL and send out the emails en masse. It’s one of the best ways to make money with AdSense and earn the extra cash.

Use Links from Sites

Another way to boost your exposure and to make money with AdSense is by using links. If you have other sites that are somewhat related, consider cross-linking between the two. For example, if you had one site about dog training and another site selling puppies, you could add links to content pages on one of the sites that link back to the other site’s pages. This way you’re going to reach a larger number of people. You can receive double benefit from all of the site marketing you have done and that’s going to give you a better value for your money.

Make Money With AdSense : Three Revenue Generating Ideas

by. Alan Lim

There are a number of good ways to make money with AdSense but the secret is uncovering some of the more interesting and effective ways. Here are a few of the best.

Many of Google’s products have revolutionized the idea of Internet marketing, and AdSense is no exception. If you already have a web site or are serious about putting one together that has good search engine optimization, there are some excellent ways to make money with AdSense. Here are just a couple.

Distribute Free Articles

In order to increase traffic to your AdSense site, your top priority needs to be spreading your URL throughout the Internet. The more people who come across the URL the more chances you’re going to have people who will be able to reach you. However, if you don’t know how to boost that traffic, one of the easiest ways is with the distribution of articles. Many sites will allow you to submit articles for free. Then these articles can be duplicated for free by other users as long as they include your resource box. Within that resource box, you need to include that URL.

When people follow the URL back to your site, they will also find the AdSense articles and will be more likely to click on them and earn you some much desired revenue. Remember the better your keyword selection and the more targeted your traffic the better the results are likely to be. That’s one way to make money with AdSense.

 Head to Message Boards

Another good way to generate greater exposure for your site on the Internet is by spending a great deal of time at message boards and in forums. Each time you post in these forums or ask a question, you have the chance to include a signature line that can include almost anything you want, including links. You can even add the link into your reply to another question. For example, if your site is about weddings and you have AdSense ads about wedding stationery, you could answer questions about this topic by directing people back to the site and to the ads. This way to make money with AdSense requires a little bit more work because you need to be in those forums regularly to get your message across but you can always hire a couple of trusted people to assist you in your endeavor.

Work on SEO

Another good way to gain exposure for your site and to increase your ability to make money with AdSense is by improving your search engine optimization. A well optimized site is going to rank higher than the competition thus it will have more traffic. Plus, if you’ve done a good job with your keyword research that extra traffic is going to be targeted and will be a better return on your investment than others. The bottom line is that SEO is definitely a good way to make money with AdSense.

Bottom Line

If you are interested in being one of thousands of people who have started earning a steady stream of revenue through AdSense advertisements on their site, then the ideas above will definitely help you boost those numbers.

Effective Tips on Adsense For Good Profit

by. Balakrishna G

This article will guide you on adsense tips like adhering to Google's Terms of service (TOS), policies, rules and regulations of the programme. These TOS may be regarding placing of ads, quality content, webmaster rules and clicks etc.

First of all please adhere to Google's Terms of service (TOS), policies, rules and regulations of the programme. These TOS may be regarding placing of ads, quality content, webmaster rules and clicks etc.,

Do not click on your own ads: We may come across some of them who click on their own ads to earn a quick money and getting banned from adsense. But in some cases we click our own ads by mistake which we need to avoid. In case if you want to view the landing page of the ad, you can directly check thru the Internet explorer rather than clicking on our own ads. Google keeps record of all clicks.

Do not place ads exceeding the adsense requirement. For better result place few ads per page. You can try placing in different locations. Usually, Medium rectangular type ads provides good results. It is suggested to place ads inbetween the body of web page.

Now coming to content of website which is the base of website and adsense. DO NOT place google ads on the webpages with no content. Google pays for the ads displayed on the content page. Your website should have a good quality content. Please try not to have a duplicate content which you may get from various sources.

Please follows website rules strictly. Your website should have a friendly navigation. Readers should not have any problem while navigating your webpages. It is better to have a sitemap. Do not display google ads on website which is under construction.

Now lets talk about how to earn more revenue from adsense. The first only way is "Traffic". More traffic means more
hits which means more earnings and more conversions, more money. But the questions is how to drive traffic?

There are many ways to drive traffic like search engine ranking. However, we all know search engine ranking is a time consuming. Your website shall take several weeks/months to drive a reasonable traffic.

But there is another way to drive traffic instantly, that is buying traffic. For instance I have bought traffic from Google Adwords. Signing up process for Google Adwords is easy. You can visit google adwords for signing up.

When I started using Google Adwords for driving traffic, I started getting lot of traffic but at the same time I was also paying towards Google Adwords ending up not making much profits. Then I started analyzing on costing and ad placements. I found that my CTR - Click thru rate is only about 40% to 50% which is not so good for profit. Later, started placing ad in different directions and with different sizes of ads.

I found most of big banner ads on the top of the page and medium rectangular ad inbetween the content working fine. My CTR went up around 65%. which is reasonably good. However, CTR around 70% is said to be very good for good profit. Even after 65% of CTR I was not able to make much profit. There was something wrong with my website. No, actually, there was excess investment towards adwords.

Hence, I started working on Adowrds costing vs. Adsense earnings. I found that, I was paying to Adwords equivalent to what I was getting from Adsense. This was my main key point for profit. Finally, I selected some low cost keywords from Adwords and fixed CPC lower than the adsense CPC. Now, I am getting reasonable profits.

Finally, we shall conclude with the understanding that for earning good profit from adsense it is just not enough working on ad placement and ad campaign but it is also equally important working on costs.

3 Ways to Make Money With AdSense Using Viral Marketing

by. Alan Lim

Viral marketing is definitely a powerful Internet phenomenon. However, it can be harnessed to help you make money with AdSense in at least three unique ways.

Most people who have more than a passing knowledge of Web 2.0 technology understand the magic of viral marketing very well. What they may not know, however, is how to harness that immense power in order to make money with AdSense. Here are some suggestions.

Use Your Email

One of the cleverest uses of viral marketing has always been the Hotmail example. Users of the free email service had messages asking recipients to sign up for accounts at hotmail. As a result, their sign-up message would be spread to millions and millions of people all around the world. The result was an increase in registered hotmail users and indisputable proof that viral marketing could be a powerful too.

If you want to make money with AdSense, you can do something similar. Create some type of site that requires registration and use this for your AdSense ads. For example, you might have people register to receive something for free, such as a newsletter subscription or a free ebook. Mention the site in the signature of every one of your emails. When people go to register, they will be on the same page as your AdSense ads. That’s one way to make money with AdSense.

Use YouTube

YouTube has become one of the biggest phenomena to hit the Internet ever. It’s also a great tool for viral marketing
because those great videos can be spread and shared with millions of people quickly and easily. Plus, most people don’t consider receiving a YouTube link to be spam (since they are normally sent by people who know them) so it’s more likely to be viewed than other types of links.

To make money with AdSense this way, create a fun and creative video that is going to capture the attention of your audience but which may also be relevant to whatever your site is about. Put the spot on YouTube and incorporate your URL into the clip with a message such as “To see more” or “For more information on this clip.”

Use Your Friends

Social networking has also really taken off in recent years. If you want to make money with AdSense, you can use this trend to your benefit as well. Most social networking sites have a way of compiling your friends. While some of these people may be legitimate acquaintances, the rest probably are not.

Put together some type of email message that would be appealing to a large number of the friends. Maybe the email could direct them to a fun site full of quizzes or movie trivia. Then you have that material on your website along with your AdSense ads. As a result, your site gets more traffic and many of those visitors will be likely to click on the ads to earn you revenue.

Other Tips

No matter which of the viral marketing idea you use above to make money with AdSense, be sure to test it carefully first to make sure it will work as you desire.

Increasing AdSense Revenue - Four Simple Tips to Follow to Increase Your Income

by. Alan Lim

Placing the Google ads on your site is only one part of the process; you also need to know some tips for boosting your AdSense revenue, too.

AdSense can be a great tool for earning an extra stream of income for your business or from your blog. Maybe you’re already bringing in a steady amount of cash this way. However, the following tips can help you earn even more AdSense revenue.

Consider Ad Placement

Where you choose to have the ads placed on your site can have a great deal to do with the number of click-throughs you are generating. The very best place to have the ads situated is at the top of the page. That way they immediate grab the visitor’s attention. If the design you’re using doesn’t have free space at the top, the second best choice is to have the ads listed on the left hand side of the page. Because people in the West read from left to right, their eyes seem to gravitate towards what’s in that left-hand column more than what appears in the right.

Another idea is to have your content wrap around the ads. This should definitely not be your first choice because some visitors will find this approach very annoying. However, it is a better choice than having them at the bottom of the page where most people are not going to even go.

One Topic per Page

Another way you can boost your AdSense revenue is by making sure that each page of your web site’s content is
focused on a single topic. That makes it easier for you to
optimize each of your pages for targeted keywords and that means you’ll generate the most relevant ads possible. Additionally, this will help you in your search engine optimization efforts and that can score you a higher ranking which will attract more traffic to your web site.

Keep Your Pages Simple

Although you may think you want to have pages that will be attention-getting for people who arrive at your site, the reality is the more spectacular your pages, the less attention your ads are going to get. Research has shown that plain pages are a better choice because they have fewer distractions. Without the distractions, people are more likely to click through your ads. And that’s what you want because you’re going to be able to increase your AdSense revenue that way. Plus, if you keep anything too graphic-intensive to a minimum, your pages will load faster and that is likely to keep your visitors around long enough to see the ads.

Avoid Extra Links

If you’re going to be building AdSense revenue through your site, do not add any additional links on the page. Those extra links will serve as another distraction and will take visitors off your page and away from your AdSense ads that are your money makers. Normally, links are a good thing because they help with search engine rankings. However, you don’t want to risk losing AdSense revenue. You could consider adding links to other pages that belong to you that also contain AdSense ads if you want to benefit from links.

Adsense Template Requirements For Success!

by. John Dow

Any good Adsense Template should be somewhat of a different animal than a normal web site template. Most Adsense websites require lots of new and fresh content on a regular basis. So you want an easy method to update and add content.

Any Adsense ready template should have features designed around easy updating, fast changes, and be flexible enough to accomdate many different subject matter topics.

There are several ways to do this, depending on the flavor of your server operating system. Linux/Unix users use Server Side includes and Pearl or PHP scripts. Windows servers can use PHP but most use ASP or .NET scripting. I won’t go into which one might be best; it really is more of a cost and personal preference decision.

Regardless of your OS, you want to have the basic information like menus, article or page listings, copyright, and even adsense layouts managed centrally. One spot changes (change the information in one section and it appears on every page) are the way to go to save time and effort.

You could go with a content management system, but they get pretty pricey and complicated, even for the most basic offerings. Like in most situations, keep it simple and you can’t go wrong. So make sure that you have an easy way to update on the backend of any Adsense Template you are considering.

The next factor to consider is how well the design will work across multiple subject areas. You may want to use the Adsense Template with different subject matter, for multiple Adsense websites. It should be versatile enough for say exercise subjects and-or gardening subject areas. Flexibility is key to multiple websites with different areas of interest.

Speaking of versatility, you want to be able to test both the placement and layout of your Adsense ads too. Each style and subject may have different performance based on both location and style of layout. So you want to be able to try different methods and positions for each subject matter or website.

If you are really serious about starting an Adsense website, don’t buy a pre-made website. Why? Because you will
have the same website as everyone else who buys that product.
And if there’s one thing that kill any hopes of making money with Adsense is to have about 2-300 duplicate websites that match yours.

One of the keys to success in garnering traffic from the search engines and acquiring links from other websites is to be unique and offer some real value to the reader. No search engine will rank you well if you have a bunch of twin websites in both layout and content.

There are a lot of little details in creating a good website, especially if you plan on going with natural traffic (search engine or free links). With all the competition out there in every possible subject area, you need to stand out from the crowd. So any Adsense Template you consider should be adaptable to many different styles and allow you to be unique.

Changing the colors and graphics should be as easy as the content. Although your Adsense website doesn’t have to have a work of art, you want color schemes that match your subject. A few graphics here and there help improve the readability and once again gives you the opportunity to stand out a little bit from the crowd.

It’s hard to be creative if you have to manually change every page when you decide to go with a new look. Especially with several hundred pages to change in about five or six places. And the more you have to manually change, the more opportunity there is for mistakes and typos.

Adsense websites can be a great way to start learning how to setup a website and make a few dollars too. The catch 22 is that you don’t want to spend more time than necessary to get it up and running. And ongoing maintenance can get to be real chore without automating as much as possible when added new content.

And don’t forget to go read Google’s Adsense terms and conditions. You don’t want to spend all that time creating a website and then run afoul of the basic rules. When ever in doubt, check with Google support and you’ll stay out of trouble won’t get terminated.

Keep in mind that Adsense income takes a while to build. A lot of it is in relation to your traffic and subject matter, but ad style and placement can make a difference too. So plan for the long haul, do your research on subject matter, and test your layouts.

Four AdSense Tips : What Not to Do

by. Alan Lim

Knowing what to do is only half the AdSense story. You also need some important AdSense tips on what not to do if you value your account with Google.

Most of the information you’ll find about AdSense tips will involve ideas about how to maximize your profit generation activities. However, knowing what you should do is only part of the picture. You also need to know what not to do. The tips below can help you prevent some of the biggest mistakes.

Do Not Click Ads

Whether by accident or not, one of the best AdSense tips that can be offered about what not to do is that you should never click on the ads on your own site. Obviously, this could be a great way to artificially inflate your own revenue. You could just spend hours clicking on the ads and you’d eventually rack up a pretty nice bank for yourself.

However, Google takes this serious and for good reasons. While you may think it’s a great way to boost your own earnings, you are benefiting at the cost of other business owners who are sincere in their desire to drive real traffic to their sites. Because your earnings are a percentage of what these marketers are paying, your money comes at their expense. Plus, reports of this type of cheating can hurt the legitimacy of the program and that’s something Google does not want.

Never Reward Visitors

Another example of some good AdSense tips is never to offer incentives to site visitors who will click on your links. That
even means begging and pleading. For example, you don’t want to suggest that the site will be closed down if people don’t visit the sponsors. Google also disproves of this practice for the same reasons as above. If you’ve done a good job on attracting targeted traffic, you don’t need to seem desperate in this way.

No Empty Pages

The temptation for lazy site owners might be to just throw up the AdSense code on an empty page and be done. While you won’t have to worry about any AdSense tips about designing a great page this way, you will end up with limited traffic and no interest in your ads. Visitors need to stick around long enough to notice and be intrigued by the ads. With no other content on the site, visitors are likely to be angry about the waste of their time and will take off quickly.

Realize the Penalties

Knowing that the above is not a good idea either because Google disproves of the process or because visitors won’t approve either may not be a major deterrent. However, the reality is that Google is serious about these issues and will suspend the accounts of anyone who violates the above and other policies.

As part of these AdSense tips, you should realize just how serious these violations are taken and what they can cost you in terms of future revenue through the program. There’s no reason to put yourself at risk like that. Instead, do the extra work and have the patience to get the revenue you want legitimately.

Discovering the AdSense Secret - Five Points to Help You Succeed

by. Alan Lim

If you are hoping to discover an AdSense secret, now you can find numerous secrets that will help you become even more successful at using the program.

Part of making the most of your AdSense account is understanding some of the important points that can either lead you to success or cause the total failure of your efforts. Obviously, you want more of the former and less of the latter. Here are points towards the AdSense secret.

Topics to Avoid

Many people don’t realize that Google will not allow their AdSense advertisements to appear on certain sites. Those sites will deal with certain topics, such as gambling and prescription drugs. Guns, some types of weapons, and tobacco topics are also not allowed to host the ads. That means a good AdSense secret is to avoid these topics when you’re preparing your web site. Although these topics might be popular for searches, you don’t want these sites associated with the ones in which you are going to be hosting the ads.

Check the Ads

Another AdSense secret is that you need to check the ads that are listed on your pages. While the program normally makes good matches, sometimes there are problems. In most cases, those problems have nothing to do with Google and everything to do with something that needs to be changed on the page. For example, you may not have optimized
the page for the proper keywords. The nice thing is that you can always contact Google if there’s a problem and they
can offer you some guidance in making the necessary changes.

Block Some Ads

Here’s an AdSense secret you also may not have known: you have the ability to block some ads from appearing on your site even if they include the keywords your page is optimized for. Why would you want some ads not to appear? Well, there are a couple of reasons. First, there are going to be some ads that are nothing but scams. If you care about the quality of the ads you are presenting to your visitors (and you should be), then you don’t want to include those unethical sites.

Another one of those issues is that if you are selling products or services on your site as well as earning revenue through the ad, you don’t want to be hosting sites which are from your competitors. Blocking them makes this AdSense secret quite valuable.

Use AdSense Tracker

In order to make the most of your AdSense account, you want to also make the most of another AdSense secret. The AdSense tracker is a great way for you to determine which of your pages are bringing in the most revenue and which ones are the most successful overall. This information will be very helpful as you continue your efforts and continue improving your ability to post ads.

Do Keyword Research

A final AdSense secret that you want to know is keyword research. This is a step in the process you don’t want to take too lightly. Remember using the proper keywords will lead targeted traffic to your site.

How to Make Adsense Work For You

by. Blake Evans

How would you like to work with a company that has been able to earn billions even in the midst of a bad economy? With this company, you would have no deadlines, bosses or stress. In fact, if you like writing or blogging, you might actually have fun with the ‘work.’ Best of all, you would earn money while working in your pajamas.

Well, thanks to Google and their Adsense program, all of these things can become a reality. However, you need to learn how to make Adsense work for your situation. You can’t expect to get rich overnight, even with high paying Adsense keywords. Instead, you need to take things slowly, using old-fashioned SEO to get your Adsense sites noticed.

What is involved with old-fashioned SEO? Basically, you write your content using Internet keywords that contain a lot of searches yet minimal competition. Keyword analyzers are the tools to use in this endeavor. You can even use Google’s Adsense keyword tool, if you want to see how much Google charges its customers for the term. This will give you some idea of the type of profit you could make when incorporating this keyword into your content.

From there you need to build backlinks to your sites. You can build these by submitting your site to directories (both paid and free), along with writing press releases and articles with links back to your site. You can also ask other
webmasters to link to your site. Any way you can, you need to
get links back to your website, which will increase your rankings in the search engines. This is an over-simplified explanation of SEO, but it's what you will need to spend your time doing.

There is another way to make Adsense work for you. It’s called article marketing. To do this, you will have to create additional content that is apart from your website. This content needs to contain appropriate keywords, just like it would if it was going to be on your site for real.

Anyway, after you write your articles, you need to submit it to article directories. Ezine Articles has the most pagerank, but you will need to get a domain name for your website. In addition, you will need to wait a few days for your article to get approved. If it isn’t approved, you must make the appropriate changes and wait again before it will get indexed online.

If this is a problem for you, there’s the option of submitting your content on less stringent networks, such as Go Articles or Amazines. There are even sites that will make Adsense work for you even further, since they utilize a concept known as Adsense revenue-sharing. They work by giving you a portion of their Adsense earnings. Xoomba is an example.

After your articles are submitted, your Adsense site will begin to receive traffic. But don’t start there. You can also make Adsense work for you by using word-of-mouth marketing. Tell everyone you know about your site, and if it is good, they will spread the word too.

Adsense Ready Websites

by. John Dow

It really doesn’t matter what type of website you may be creating, there are certain common elements that should always be incorporated. And if you plan on adding Adsense, Google’s program for webmasters to display the same ads as on search engine results, it can be even more important. Any Adsense ready website should have a layout and design that allows for the display of Google ads.

There are two main areas in website design. The look and feel that is visual and the backend that involves ongoing activities like updating, collecting user input, and RSS feeds if applicable just to name a few. In this article we’ll take a look at the backend planning and operations.

In a perfect plan, you would design a website and layout that can provide easy navigation, lots of valuable content on the subject matter, and one that can be easily maintained. Most of the maintenance would be more in the updating and adding content on a regular basis. The content should be organized by sub categories so that any visitor can drill down into specific areas within the subject matter.

As an example, if you were designing a website on raising fish as a hobby, you could sub categories on freshwater, saltwater, equipment, and etc. In each section, the Adsense ads displayed would be specific to each category that the user was viewing. The trick is to make sure the placement can correlate to the subject, since Google reviews the content to insure accurate placement, you need to make sure that the information is visible to the Google software bots (bots are software programs that identify subject matter).

You wouldn’t want to use frames in your design since that may it more difficult for Google to determine the right subject. Actually, frames were never a good idea as far as search engine rankings due to the method of determining content, although they are a quick shortcut for the website designer. Tables would be a better choice but even with tables you should show some restraint.

A good portion of your time will be spent on adding content to your website once it is up and running. There are several good ways to help you automate the process depending on your server OS and website editor. When you first start planning and developing your website, you should include an updating methodology.

The two most popular server Operating systems are Unix/Linux or Windows. The most common automated methods used on Unix/Linux servers are:

SSI – Server side includes which is used with Apache Server software (also can run on Windows servers)
PHP – A scripting language used to display dynamic content (also can run on Windows servers)
Perl – Another scripting language used to display dynamic content (also can run on Windows servers)

On a Windows Operating System you can run the above but many chose to run scripting languages that are inherent to Windows such as:

ASP – Active Server Pages is Microsoft’s dynamic content language
.NET – A more robust version of ASP that uses the .NET Framework

There are many more script languages but the ones above are the most popular and are all good choices. In ease of use, SSI wins hands down. The more sophisticated needs will require one of the scripting languages. But the learning curve is considerable and depending on the size and scope of the website, may not be necessary.

There are also many popular Web Content Management systems that may be used when the number of pages, contributors or authors, and subject matter out grow the abilities of a more simple solution. These high-end programs can let users add content on the fly and do many automated tasks besides updating content.

No matter what you chose to help you automate your updating methods, you should have some method incorporated into your website design. Manually updating any website will be laborious and time consuming. And once you get beyond a few pages, almost impossible to track and maintain.

Another good way to provide content that is always fresh is RSS feeds. Rich Site Summary is a format for adding news items from other websites like Yahoo News or any newsy website. RSS feeds from websites can be setup using software feed readers or news aggregate software. It can be as simple as a Java routine that goes to your website of choice and pulls in the latest articles or news items. Or you can expand the service to include many websites that have content that matches your website with very sophisticated buy off the shelf software packages.

Once again it’s not so important on which method you use as to make it easy to setup and that it provides high value content to your website visitors. Depending on the subject matter, they may or not be a lot of daily information available. But RSS feeds can help you provide constant new content on any specific subject.

So if you want to design an Adsense ready website, stick to basic good website backend procedures. Navigation needs to be simple and content easy to find. Content needs to be updated frequently and very relevant to subject matter. Use as many easy and efficient auto updating methods as you can. And last, but not least, organize your subject matter in sub categories and create a natural flow of information.

Making Money With High Paying Adsense Keywords

by. Blake Evans

Google was ingenious when they came up with Adsense. Not only do they get an opportunity to make additional money from their search engines, but they also allow Internet marketers a chance to make money in an easier manner. Why is this so? Well, with traditional affiliate marketing, you must make a sale before you receive commission. But with Adsense, all you have to do is create content that will produce ads that readers will click on. And in return for just a click, you will receive a few cents or in many cases, SEVERAL dollars.

This is where high paying Adsense keywords come in. So how can you find these high paying words? There are two approaches. The easiest one involves looking up pre-made lists. The other one involves you doing the research through Google’s Adwords tool. Simply enter in the term you’re interested in, and the tool will tell you how much each click is worth.

In terms of actual value, there are high paying keywords that are worth more than $20. There are even a few that are in the range of $40 to $69. In both cases, these keywords tend to revolve around lawyers, debt, credit cards, schooling and illness. And, contrary to what some may think, often times the most expensive Adsense keywords revolve around long-tail terms over more generalized phrases.

Either way, if you decide to promote these keywords, you could become independently wealthy relatively quickly. However, you do need to be aware of some things before going after these ultra-profitable of keywords.

First off, you must remember that Google will take its cut from
each keyword. And you will not know how much they will take until the stats start coming in. So, don’t assume that 1,000 clicks from a $45 keyword will equal $45,000. Your cut will end up being much less than that. But it will still be much more generous than if you promoted a keyword that was only worth .05.

In addition, be aware that the higher paying keywords tend to not drive much traffic because there is so much competition surrounding them. So, unless you can beat the competition with a Fortune 500 business, you’ll have to be more creative with how you promote these keywords.

For example, consider the keyword “mesothelioma treatment options” which is currently worth $32.09. There are a ton of websites ranked for this keyword, so you can forget about search engine traffic for this term. What you will have to do is drive traffic through other terms with Internet articles. And, you will have to think outside of the box to do this.

For instance, instead of promoting “mesothelioma treatment options” you could promote
mesothelioma message boards, books or treatment centers. You could talk about mesothelioma and family support. Ultimately, if you put your heart and mind into it, there’s no limit to what you will come up with.

In conclusion, high paying keywords could be your ticket towards financial independence. Yet, remember, even the gurus don’t earn money overnight. You will still need to put in a lot of work through proper SEO and keyword optimization. Once you do that, the profits will surely start to come in.

How to Make Money With Adsense

By. John Dow

For those of you that would like to learn how to make money with adsense, it’s pretty straight forward. Some say even easy. The folks at Google came up with the idea back in 2003, if they could figure out a way to display ads on any website, according to the subject matter, they could sell more ads.

So they came up with Adsense. With Adsense, a webmaster can display the same ads that appear on Google’s search results with common subject as the search results. When a visitor clicks on the ad, Google gets paid for the activity. So Google gives a portion of the ad fees to the webmaster, the advertiser gets more exposure to targeted viewers, Google gets more places to display ads, and everyone is happy.

Sounds easy, and it can be. But there are a few other aspects that you need to know. Google has a very strict set of rules you must follow. So the first thing you should do if you want to learn more about Adsense and how it works is to go to Google’s web page and click on advertising programs at the bottom. Once you click there, all the Adsense info is on the right side.

OK, so now you know the rules. Let’s get to the money making part. There are a few necessary elements to making money with Adsense. Due to the nature of the business model, you have to have traffic (people who visit your website). You need to have information that has some merit for the visitor. And you need to make it as easy as possible for that visitor to see something of interest in the ads that are displayed, so they will click on the ads.

The first two go together, if you have good information of value to a visitor, the search engines will help you out by sending traffic to your website. The third part (the clicking on the ads) gets a little more tricky. Here’s where some of those strict Google rules come into play. You can’t “trick” visitors into clicking, you can’t display the ads in such a way that is not acceptable with the terms and conditions.

Speaking of the website, you should also provide a constant stream of new information, specific to your theme, and update frequently. You also want to be able to do this updating in an organized and easy manner. You will need a lot of visitors and the best way to get those visitors is more fresh content. The more the search engines see you update with quality content, the more they will serve your website up in search engine results.

The amount of money or revenue you can make is entirely dependent on the cost of the ads displayed, and the number of clicks. Prices or fees for the ads can run from as little as .20 to $40 per click based on the going competition in the Adwords fees. So the more competitive the subject area, the more the website owner gets for a click.

There is a lot of speculation what percentage of the fee that Google pays. Most agree that it’s probably around 40%, so if Google gets a $1.00, then the webmaster would get .40 of that dollar. So the higher the ad cost, the more the webmaster makes per click. As you can see, if you get 20 clicks a day at .40 that’s about $8.00 per day.

The first step in getting into the Adsense business is to choose your subject matter. The subject should be a popular one
(you want a lot of potential visitors), and a competitive subject matter so that the cost of the ad is high enough to provide a good return on your efforts.

Once you have determined your subject matter, the next part is designing your website. There are many opinions on what the best layout might be in regards to updating, getting the maximum clicks per visitor (position of the ads), and attracting the traffic. Very small changes in the layout can have dramatic impact on the number clicks per visitor.

Everything about the layout and design should be constantly tested to determine if you can improve on the click rate of your visitors. Testing is the key to find out how to get the maximum yield out of your visitors regardless of your traffic volume (number of visitors per day).

There are two major schools of thought on how to run an Adsense business. One is to create as many websites as possible, spend limited time in development and move on to the next. The other is to create one very large and elaborate website (500 plus pages) and continue to develop the content.

There are pros and cons on both. Some say having 100 websites that make $20 per month and don’t require additional work is the way to go. Others want one website that produces $1000 per day and you constantly update to increase the visitors and clicks.

There are software programs available to do the many website method that help you create multiple websites a day. Of course that’s why we have so many websites these days, as with most money making opportunities, people have abused the system and created a lot of worthless websites.

Both methods can be effective if the websites are well designed, researched, and content is of value to the visitor. Throwing up a bunch of websites of no value will not make you any money. And spending time on a subject area that produces a low click fee most likely will not provide a good return on your time invested.

There’s a ton of bad information out there too. A lot of experts tell you to find a low competition subject since it would be easier to attract visitors. Look for an area where there are only a few hundred searches per month. Three to four hundred visitors a month won’t make you much money since your market is so limited. And since the area has no competition, the ad fees are probably low too.

And then there’s the opposite end of the spectrum where they suggest you go for the highest competitive terms and ad fees. There are subject areas that Google gets up to $40 per click, therefore you as a webmaster can get $16 per click. That’s the good news. The bad news is you will be competing with some of the best in the business and it’s very difficult to build any traffic.

The best suggestion I can make is to find some point between these two extremes. Find a subject that gets a good enough ad fee to provide a good return on your efforts, and low enough competition that you can achieve the necessary level of traffic.

So if you want to learn how to make money with Adsense, follow a few basic rules. No matter what method or model you use for your Adsense business, make sure your content is fresh and meaningful to the visitor. Do the proper research to determine the value of the ad fees and popularity of the subject matter. And always test different layouts to make sure you are maximizing your click rate.

What is Adsense?

By. Blake Evans

So how can you make money from adsense? This is a question that is often wondered by new Internet marketers. Desperate to seek work-from-home opportunities, they wonder if Adsense is the next get-rich-quick scheme that will work for them.

Well, understand that while Adsense can be profitable, it is not a get-rich-quick scheme. In fact, it is much better, as it offers an excellent marketing opportunity for those who want to get their feet wet with Internet advertising.

So, how does Adsense work? Basically, when webmasters sign up for the program, they are given a unique Adsense code. When this code is integrated into their websites, Adsense ads will appear in designated areas. Most of these ads are text-based, though there are some that will take the form of a banner or even a mini search engine.

If webmasters want to customize their Adsense to make the ads match the style of their website, they are free to do so. There are even Adsense themes that will show graphics from within the ads. For example, an autumn theme might show leaves from within the ads. This makes them more visible to the reader.

However, webmasters cannot place their own pictures in or around the ads. So, it’s best to not put pictures on your Adsense pages, unless they are a significant distance away from the ads. Otherwise, you could risk getting in trouble with the program.

But beyond that, there aren’t many other restrictions in the
Google Adsense program. As long as you don’t use incentivized traffic, you are free to promote your Adsense site as you please, whether it’s through blogging, article marketing or even Google Adwords.

What is Google Adwords? Google Adwords can be seen as the client version of Adsense. Basically, people pay to have their site advertised in Adsense ads. This payment is based on how many clicks the ad receives. If the ad receives no clicks, usually no payment is required, though sometimes Google may charge a smaller fee for impressions, (especially for a popular keyword).

Anyway, if you use Google Adwords to promote your Adsense sites, you are using a method known as arbitrage to get exposure. This involves paying a small amount in return for a larger amount. For example, say you average around $1 per click for your Adsense keywords. Your goal is to get 1,000 clicks quickly from Adwords. If your income is low, look for keywords that are around .05 per click. You’ll make a profit of 0.95 for every click that is made. So, once you get to your goal of 1,000 clicks, you would’ve made $950. It’s actually very hard to do, so most people like to get their sites ranked high in the search engines and then receive free traffic. Although getting ranked in the search engines can take time, it's usually a better strategy in the long run.

So, there you have it… you now know a little about the Adsense program. Go on and apply your knowledge so you can be on your way towards establishing an income from home.
